Three questions that pick a sensible first place.

Start with the work, not a leaderboard. The “best” model is the one that can see the right files without you leaking the wrong ones.

If the source is already in Google, start near Gemini or a Google connector. If it lives in Microsoft 365, start near Copilot. If it is a pile of PDFs on your desk, a bounded Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok project is a sensible first place. If it must not leave the machine, a local runner is a setup you choose on purpose.
