OpenCode gives several models one supervised workspace. You can use a normal desktop app. The terminal is optional.

Coding assistants (OpenCode, Cursor, Claude Code, Grok’s coding surfaces, GitHub Copilot, VS Code) can edit files, run commands, and plug in MCP servers. That is power. Practice in a disposable folder. Approve only changes you understand.
